Cricket has no boundaries

Cricket has no boundaries - we think that’s worth protecting.

We understand that cricket is a game for all, offering access and opportunity to people of any age, gender, race, physical ability, religious or non-religious beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation, social or ethnic background.

That’s why we launched 'Cricket has no boundaries', a campaign which showcases and celebrates the diversity of modern cricket in England and Wales.

Longstanding Cricket Heritage

At NatWest, we’re proud of our longstanding cricket heritage which spans over 37 years.

In 2017, we became the lead partner of England Cricket for the first time, helping to support the game in all its forms, at all levels, from the professional teams, right down to grassroots clubs without exclusion and without boundaries.

We also help support the England Women’s team - the 2017 ICC World Champions - along with the Physical & Learning Disability teams, age-groups, and Visually and Hearing Impaired teams.

Chance to shine

Chance to Shine

At the heart of our campaign is our official partnership with cricket charity Chance to Shine.

Chance to Shine uses cricket to increase aspiration, promote social cohesion and create opportunities for young people in communities and school across the country.

Across 2018 we’ll continue to fundraise for Chance to Shine and let you know how you can get involved.

NatWest CricketForce

For more than a decade, we’ve partnered with the ECB to champion NatWest CricketForce.

In 2018 the focus was on supporting the improvement of changing facilities for women and girls, whilst increasing disabled access and creating more family-friendly function rooms. A record 2,400 clubs registered and engaged in these activities at the end of March.

Keep an eye out for registrations opening for 2019!

Play virtual cricket, raise money for charity

Get involved and help us raise money for Chance to Shine by having a go at our unique virtual reality cricket experience, available at specific events throughout the season.

We’re donating money for every six scored in our virtual reality cricket game and for every 4 & 6 scored in the NatWest Test Series. So along with the pros on the pitch you can help fundraise off the pitch.

A game for all

International Matchday – Sileby Ladies

For 37 years NatWest has actively supported and promoted Cricket in England and Wales, as a ‘game for all’. Through this support we have helped open up cricket to broader and more diverse audiences.

To celebrate and showcase our support for inclusivity and continue to protect cricket as a ‘game for all’, we teamed up with ESPNcricinfo to give Sileby CC Ladies XI a special "matchday experience". This included full NatWest pitch kit, ESPNcricinfo's famous ball-by-ball coverage, interviews, highlights and analysis, plus a cricket master class from England internationals Charlotte Edwards and Jenny Gunn.

International Matchday – Ilford Cricket Club

We also took the international match-day experience to vibrant inner city club Ilford Cricket Club. Ilford were worthy recipients through NatWest CricketForce, and rallied the local community to come down and watch their local derby match against Ilford Town. The local kids were also put through their paces in an intense master class from England internationals Nasser Hussein and Saj Mahmood.
