NatWest's summer of cricket
2019 is the biggest summer of cricket in a generation and it's never been more important for everyone to enjoy cricket however, wherever and whenever they like.
That's why this year we're making it easier for everyone to play, experience and follow the game for all.
Keep up to date by following NatWest Cricket and searching #NoBoundaries on social media.
Cricket has no boundaries
At NatWest, we’re proud of our longstanding cricket heritage which spans over 38 years.
In 2017 we became the lead partner of England Cricket for the first time and launched 'Cricket has no boundaries', a campaign that showcases and celebrates the diversity and inclusion of modern cricket in England and Wales.
We support the game for all in all its formats at all levels, without boundaries, from the professional game down to grassroots clubs.
Chance to Shine
At the heart of our campaign is our official partnership with cricket charity Chance to Shine.
Chance to Shine uses cricket to increase aspiration, promote social cohesion and create opportunities for young people in communities and schools across the country.
In 2019 we're continuing our fundraising and support of the amazing work they do to allow everyone to play cricket.
Learn more about the great work Chance to Shine do.
We kicked off this massive year of cricket in April with NatWest CricketForce. Over a thousand grassroots clubs got stuck into the NatWest CricketForce weekend with local communities coming out in force to make their clubs accessible to all this year.
Uttoxeter CC & Byfleet CC were our showcase clubs so we took England stars Jason Roy, Chris Woakes and Danielle Wyatt, as well as NatWest Cricket ambassador Ebony Rainford-Brent to help get their clubs ready for the upcoming summer of cricket. Click here to see how they got on.
NatWest are making it easier to enjoy cricket
To celebrate the biggest summer of cricket in a generation and underline NatWest's 38th year of partnership with English cricket, NatWest is making it easier for fans to enjoy the game by sharing some unmissable content.
Freddie v Freddie
Thousands of people voted on Twitter for which over they wanted Freddie Flintoff to face; the public spoke and Freddie stepped up against himself during his greatest ever over in the 2005 Ashes victory at Edgbaston.
Live across Facebook, Instagram TV and twitter, to see how it all unfolded you can view the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muTuta6C_ss
If you are at the Ashes tests this summer, ticket holders can bat against the NatWest Pick-up and Play unit, with technology that can replicate any ball in history.
What's Your Wicket
Check out another great content piece from NatWest. We engaged some familiar faces including Ex-England Women’s Captain, Charlotte Edwards, and England legend, Monty Panesar, who we put to the test this summer with the weirdest and most wonderful kit suggestions to show just how easy it is to enjoy the game.
